The eldest of four sisters and a brother born to farmers on Gemenon she had a relatively normal life earlier on. Her fondest memories as a child were visiting the temple with her family and learning about the gods and Kobol from the priest and visiting Oracles. She became devoted to religion at a young age taking everything in the Scrolls as literal and trusting solely in her faith.

Although she would never tell anyone her dreams were filled with the gods and she believed that she had a connection with the lords of Kobol. Her dreams and faith led her on a path to becoming a priest at the local temple, here she often led her friends and family in prayer and aided each and every one in the community� Especially her younger brother Alex.

She saw her brother on a destructive path with his womanising and live for today attitude; Jewel made it her mission to save his soul right up to the day he left Gemenon without saying goodbye.

Not long after her brother left an oracle visited the temple where jewel worked, for the first time ever she told another of her dreams and the oracle told her that she may also be an oracle. Jewel began training as an oracle and soon began to practice it all over Gemenon and then all the Colonies.
