General Overview
Not ever one to suffer fools, she's blunt and outspoken, (sometimes to her own detriment) and can be more than a bit cynical. She talks or sings or hums to herself a lot, but she doesn't see anything wrong with it, and seems to take delight when it annoys certain people. Although extremely competent at her job, almost to the point of cockiness, she also likes having a good time when she's working and so some might perceive her actions as occasionally reckless, even though she would argue the point. She doesn't come across as very empathetic nor sympathetic and this can have the effect of making her seem callous. She is bisexual, but has never had any long term relationships with either a man or a woman (but plenty of short-term ones).

Born to a single mother on Tauron, Delia had a string of live-in 'uncles' that came and went over the years, making her a bit jaded and detached. However, the majority of her childhood was uneventful.

She graduated secondary school, and applied to join the Colonial Service at age 17, first joining as enlisted (deck hand), and later attended the Academy's Flight School after being accepted through a special officer candidate program. She graduated top of her class.

During her assignment (on the Triton), her mother died. At first seemingly unaffected by the event, she began to suffer small psychotic episodes during flights, and was soon diagnosed with a post-traumatic stress disorder stemming from a repressed childhood event. Her flight status was removed, and after some medical leave, she was reassigned to Flight Control.
