Leander Rothschild
While his sister sought her degree in the fine arts, Lee studied law at university and graduated with a degree in legal studies. He served as an attorney in the Picon legal system for a time, earning a reputation as a meticulous and driven advocate. After almost ten years in the courtroom and becoming increasingly frustrated with politics and the like, he decides to try his hand at journalism, bringing issues he thinks are important to bear.
He secures a job working for the Picon Star Tribune as a weekly editorial columnist, becoming known for his wit and insight into controversial aspects of Colonial life. Eventually, he receives an offer to write for the Caprica Times. Seeing this as an opportunity for advancement, he accepts. He is on his first assignment for the news source, covering a story on Scorpia when the Cylon attack commences. He is barely able to escape on board a small passenger liner, which eventually finds its way into the Ingazi Patch.

| Personality & Traits | ||
| General Overview | ||
| Leander, or 'Lee' as he prefers to be called, is personable and affable and wears his crooked sort of grin very easily. He's also confident and curious, two traits which serve him well in his chosen profession. He likes to call his own shots, an attitude which has gained him a bit of a reputation among his peers. When directed to do something, he will oftentimes find his own way of doing it rather than following the established norm. He is also very selective about what he covers. Certain things inspire fiery passion in him; others he could really care less about. |
||
| Strengths & Weaknesses | ||
| Lee is driven, especially when dealing with things he feels strongly about. In the same token, he can be detached almost to the point of apathy when he doesn't feel something is worth his time and effort. This attitude has proved to be something of a double-edged sword; it has brought him considerable success, but has also gotten him into trouble more than a few times. | ||
| Ambitions | ||
| As of right now, nothing much past just surviving along with the rest of humanity. However, as a member of the media, he would like to be able to inform the general public of what is happening in the Fleet, especially things with potentially sweeping consequences. | ||
| Hobbies & Interests | ||
| He enjoys running and the occasional pick-up game of Pyramid, mostly for keeping in shape. He's also an avid reader and card player. He also practices the art of parkour, as he finds it handy in his line of work. |
