General Overview
Fun to hang around with, and a great friend. Very supportive and persuasive, and usually relativly calm. He likes to make jokes and mess around with other officers and friends, however when works calls he gets serious.
Strengths & Weaknesses
Tyler Nelson is very smart. He can deal with pressure well, and can make important decisions quickly. He is well knowledged in a battlestars operating systems, and can lead people well. His huge weakness would be not being able to fly any colonial fleet ship (which his job description doesn't call for). Even though he was trained briefly in colonial fleet training, he could not manage to fly one far.
Ambitions
He just hopes to rise up the ranks of the Colonial Fleet, and maybe one day find his love, and make a family.

Tyler Nelson was born in a suburb of Caprica City, Caprica. He was raised by both his parents, and his aunt. His mom was a lawyer, and often spent her time in court. His father was a CEO of a huge metal company, which supplied the military with their ship and weapon metals. His office was also based in Caprica City, and he would spend days there without coming home. That left his aunt, which stayed at home and took care of him while his parents were not there. Tyler had plenty of friends and went to a bigger school. His junior year in High School, his aunt moved to Sagitaron to help her sick mom. Only two months later Tyler's mom was shot and killed by a client who had lost in court. That just left his dad, who still spent almost the entire week away from home. After graduating Tyler and some buddies had decided they were going to join the Colonial Fleet.

 

After finishing training and receiving the rank of ensign, Tyler was given his first assignment to the Battlestar Valkyrie as a communications officer. He spent three great years on the Valkyrie, but was transferred to the Battlestar Columbia and promoted to Lieutenant to become assistant chief of operations. He spent another two years aboard the Columbia, but it was not as great as the Valktrie, in fact the XO took a personal dislike in him (with no apparent reason). When he heard the Battlestar Megaera was looking for officers, he signed his transfer papers without thinking twice.
