Physical Description		Zak doesn't look very imposing at all. Of average height and build, he has remarkably pale skin that refuses to pick up a tan, hence the callsign. He has a quick smile and despite not being imposing, he is fit and his strength often surprises people.

Zak was born to fly, or so he believes. His life outside of the Fleet is a mess and the Fleet is really the only home he knows. Zak can't really imagine a life where he wouldn't be a pilot any longer.

Zak was born to a single mother on Sagitarron. He became the sole focus and purpose of his mother's life and she worked to make sure he had a better life than she did. Through sheer perseverance she was able to immigrate to Caprica and from there she made sure that Zak attended the best schools and eventually the Fleet Academy.

Zak was soon recognised as a natural pilot and was among the top pilot candidates of his class. Zak's mother died while he was attending the Academy and the result of this incident, his marks took a serious hit. At the time, he was training to be a Viper pilot, but the death of his mother seemed to affect even his flying. At the suggestion of one of his instructors, he was transfered to train on Raptors. This seemed to work and he graduated successfully, but nowhere near where his potential suggested he should.

His assignment to Battlestar Megaera is his first assignment away from planetary and fleet bases.
