General Overview
Fresh out of medical school, Talia is serving her internship aboard the Gunstar Temperance. In her short time aboard, she has demonstrated her intelligence and natural aptitude as a physician under the watchful eyes of the experienced medical staff on the vessel. However, with the deaths of the CMO and the senior residents, Talia has been pressed into service as the only qualified medical doctor aboard, something that she is entirely unprepared for. She has little practical experience and this manifests in her lack of self-confidence in sickbay.

Born on Libran as the youngest of four children, Talia Locke tended to have things come easily to her for most of her early life. Gifted with a keen intellect, she excelled in school, studying many varied subjects. She was the bookworm of the family, preferring to stay indoors and read rather than going out, despite the best efforts of her siblings to convince her otherwise.

A field trip to a hospital in her junior year of high school convinces her that a career in medicine is her future. Her parents does not have the money to support her fully, so she joins the Colonial military to help subsidize her education, not wanting to put undue strain on her family financially.
