General Overview
Fairly easy going and a bright personality off duty, in stark contrast to his demeanour on the bridge. People who only know him professionally are often led to believe he is a miserable character due to the frown he wears while on duty. In reality, he smiles a lot however was told by a previous CO to stop being so overly enthusiastic and to calm himself down. Kris is not a very calm person, however, despite appearances.

Born to a middle class family on Caprica, Kris always had everything he needed when growing up, though his parents made sure he did not take anything for granted. After an otherwise unremarkable childhood, Boyd applied to the Colonial Fleet as an Officer and was accepted. Despite being a fully qualified officer serving on a battleship, he still has had relatively little life experience and as such his personality makes him seem much younger than he actually is.
