Solomon Arothan
[ Non-Playing Character ]
Solomon exceeded his father's achievements in great many ways. He taught both History and Sociology at UV, wrote countless articles for the field journals and a total of seven books, two of which targeted broader audience and reached bestseller status. His eighth work Resurrection, featuring controversial statement that people of Twelve Colonies should in near future gather to reclaim Kobol, reached bookstores days before Cylon attack and was an instant hit. He had two houses, one on Virgon (for himself) and one on Caprica (for his wife). Despite relatively happy marriage he was engaged in numerous affairs.
Two days before the Cylon attack Solomon, while guesting on several Caprican promotion events for "Resurrection" jumped his wife in bed with a lover. Acting on impulse he stabbed the man with kitchen knife and strangled his wife with a pillow before escaping the scene. The double murder was a news cover, but Arothan escaped charges as his publisher claimed they were in a meeting in his office at the time of crime.
On the day of attack Solomon Arothan was boarding Elysium luxury liner on his way to book promotions on Libris.
